Setefanus Suprajitno obtained his Ph.D. in sociocultural anthropology from Cornell University, USA in 2013 with a Fulbright scholarship. His research interests are in the field of cultural studies, specifically identity, ethnicity, and cultural memory. Setefanus received several research grants from DIKTI, both as a research team leader and as a research member. Setefanus has obtained several fellowships to conduct research abroad, including ASF Award (2003), ASF Follow-up Award (2005), Lee Kong Chian Research Fellowship (2010), Taiwan Fellowship Award (2018). Currently, Setefanus is managing editor of K@ta journal since 2020 (ranked 2nd in national accreditation) and a reviewer of several national and international journals. In the Master’s Program in Literature, PCU, Setefanus teaches Chinese Indonesian Society and Culture and Identity in Language, Art and Literature, and teaches several courses, including Theories in Literary and Cultural Studies, Chinese Indonesians in Media, and Urban Cultures in Indonesia.
