Dwi Setiawan graduated from the English Literature Study Program, Petra Christian University, Indonesia, in 2002. After graduating, Dwi received a scholarship from UBCHEA to continue his study at the MA-ELT program, Assumption University of Thailand, and received his Master’s degree in 2004. At the end of 2005 he was awarded a scholarship from ADB to improve his teaching skills at the Australian College of English, Australia (now Navitas English). Dwi completed his doctoral study in the field of literary adaptation to film at De Montfort University, UK, (2014-2017) under the guidance of Prof. Deborah Cartmell, an adaptation studies expert and founder of the Association of Adaptation Studies. In the Master’s Program in Literature, PCU, Dwi Setiawan teaches several courses such as Adaptation Studies, Popular and Contemporary Fiction, Theories in Applied Literature《印尼都市文化》 Culture and Film Industry他已创作与翻译多部文学与学术著作，主要研究兴趣集中在后殖民文学改编电影、马克思主义与文学，以及英语在全球的功能。自2018年以来，他担任 K@ta 学术期刊主编（该刊在国家认证中排名第二），并担任多家国际期刊的审稿人。除教学与研究外，他还曾任英语文学专业秘书（2006–2009），并于2009年底至2013年担任该专业主任。博士学成归国后，他于2018–2021年担任语言与文学学院（FBS）院长。自2021年底 FBS 与其他两所学院合并后，Dwi Setiawan 现任人文与创意产业学院院长，该学院亦设有文学硕士课程。
