Dwi has produced and translated several literary and scholarly works with a major interest in the field of adaptation of postcolonial literature to film, Marxism and literature, and the function of English in the world. Dwi is also the editor-in-chief of K@ta journal since 2018 (ranked 2nd in national accreditation) and a reviewer of several international journals. In addition to teaching and researching, he worked as the Department Secretary of the English Literature Study Program (2006-2009). At the end of 2009 he was appointed as the Head of English Literature Study Program and completed his duties in 2013. Returning from his doctoral study, Dwi served as Dean of the Faculty of Languages and Literature (FBS) for the 2018-2021 period. After the merger of FBS with two other faculties at the end of 2021, Dwi Setiawan currently leads as the Dean of the Faculty of Humanities and Creative Industries, which also houses the Master’s Program in Literature.
